Good: What an absolutely inspiring drive this was for us! To truly witness the unseen hand of something great move upon a crowd of strangers to render their kindness ...
Bad: The anxiety that comes with failing before y'all even begin. Sometimes it feels like we aren't encouraged enough
Per Dameon:"I was truly happy to see that without a lot of prompting, so many people showed up as quickly as they did to take care of other folks, especially babies".
The inspiring: To literally see this concerted emotion unfold itself as the drive progressed, left us encouraged to really go to work on community upliftment!
But as Victor says so eloquently:"It's good to know that the community and supporters have our back when it's time to put a campaign in drive and push it at full speed".
Bad: The thing with no official sponsorship and wallowing in that negative space is that it forces you to redefine your point of view, or fail.
Good: So with a gentle adjustment we realized we were sponsored the whole while ... by our community!
From Shawn's mouth to yalls ears:👇🏾
"Although things didn't go as smoothly as we planned; I appreciate all our supporters and donors stepping up tremendously when we needed to make it count. We appreciate everyone for holding on to their word . . ."
Here are the numbers from the drive!
goal: 2,017 individual diapers
final count: y'all have helped us get to an impressive 3.6k!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good: So at life speed we remain steadfast and try to honor our purpose! Not only as an organization but as people participating in this collision of lives good and not so great.
Gooder: The greatest gift we've received is...YOU! THE PEOPLE! THE COMMUNITY!
The take away: Be active in all the moments that seem to connect you to the next great experience in your life. Do these things, no! Do all these things when the opportunity presents itself, it's your purpose!
